Engineering World Health is a non-profit whose mission is to inspire, educate, and empower the biomedical engineering community to improve healthcare delivery in low-income countries.
For university students, Engineering World Health runs the Summer Institute programs, which are service abroad programs for engineering students. In Guatemala, Rwanda, and Tanzania, they will train you to speak the local language and repair hospital equipment before you work as volunteer technicians in a clinical setting. If you're interested, please find the application and more information here!
In light of COVID-19, they have also launched virtual programming to continue to foster international exchange. Their Virtual Winter Institute will introduce students to engineering design for low-resource settings.

Azure Ventures Group
This year (2021) was ASBME's first time incorporating a defined entrepreneurship aspect to our competition. This aspect is possible in part because of the support we received from Azure Ventures Group. Many of the people in this club volunteered as mentors and provided valuable insight into entrepreneurship. Click here to learn more.
